Air End

An air end is the "heart" of an air compressor, responsible for the actual process of compressing air through the rotation of interlocking male and female rotors within a housing.

Essential Components
-
Rotors
The male and female rotors are the core components that interlock and rotate in opposite directions to compress the air.
-
Bearings
Precision bearings support the rotors, allowing for smooth operation and accurate clearances.
-
Seals
Radial shaft seals and other sealing elements prevent air and oil leakage.
-
Casing/Housing
The main casing, or cylinder, houses the rotors and provides structural support.
