Air Receiver Tank

An air receiver, sometimes referred to as a compressed air tank, is an integral part of any compressed air system. The main purpose of this is to act as temporary storage to accommodate the peaks of demand from your system and to optimize the running efficiency of your plant.

    Functions & Benefits

  • Air Storage

Stores compressed air to meet sudden spikes in demand that exceed the compressor's instantaneous capacity.

  • Pressure Stabilization

Acts as a buffer to absorb pressure fluctuations from the compressor, ensuring a consistent and stable air supply for downstream equipment.

  • Moisture & Contaminant Removal

Allows compressed air to cool, causing water vapor and oil droplets to condense and collect at the bottom for removal via drains, providing cleaner air for tools and processes.

  • Energy Efficiency

Reduces the number of times the compressor cycles on and off, which saves energy and lowers operating costs.

  • Extended Equipment Life

Less frequent cycling reduces wear and tear on compressor components, extending the lifespan of the air compressor.

  • Emergency Backup

Provides a reserve of compressed air during compressor failure or maintenance, allowing essential processes to continue or for a safe shutdown.
