Suction Valve
A suction valve is a general term for a valve that regulates the flow of fluid or gas into a system or chamber, most often in relation to a pump or compressor. The specific function and application of a suction valve vary greatly depending on the context in which it is used.

-
Pressure-differential operation: Suction valves are essentially check valves that operate based on pressure differences inside and outside the cylinder. When the piston's movement creates a vacuum inside the cylinder, the suction line's higher pressure forces the valve open, allowing gas or refrigerant to enter.
